Bio: Reporter for The Wall Street Journal in New York, Washington and Chicago; covered Congress, U.S. Supreme Court, Justice Department, Federal Trade Commission, politics, business, stock market.  Reporter, political editor for WBBM-TV.  Author of The Supreme Court and the Press: The Indispensable Conflict (2011); Up Against Daley (1974), numerous op-ed pieces for the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times; contributor to chicagohistoryjournal.com: articles on significant Chicago lawyers and Supreme Court cases.  Practiced law in Chicago for 12 years.
