Thinking about starting a business, starting a non-profit social enterprise, or doing something new and innovative inside an existing organization? Introduction to Entrepreneurship (IENT) addresses fundamentals in major areas of conceptualizing and launching a successful new business. Students will be exposed to the start-up process in detail. The course will combine lectures, visiting speakers, workshop sessions, and readings. Throughout the term, for-credit students will develop an executive summary of a business idea and a PowerPoint presentation which they will present, as part of a team, to a panel of entrepreneurs and potential investors at the conclusion of the course. All audit students are invited to attend the final presentations to see how students have taken what they've learned and executed a plan.
This mini course is offered during the Winter 2012 term and is open for audit to anyone eligible for a dartmouth.edu, hitchcock.org or dartmouth.alum.org email address. While auditors are not required to participate in class, readings, or assignments, attendance is mandatory.
